Time in Nendaz

The two weeks have gone so fast! Switzerland is definitely the best place i have been skiing, there is so much choice when it comes to mountains and you can literally ski from town to town.

We were living on the slopes in Haute Nendaz a little cozy town, and we could either ski locally or make a big day of it and head out on adventures. Notice the Australian flag on our apartment hehe

Beck & i were actually the only ones skiing, the rest of the team were boarding, but at least we were not the ones complaining of extremely sore butts, wrists, heads & quads haha

A note to Matt who managed to impale a stick into his but, and Ryan who needed to invest in a very special helmet (which was later used in drinking games aka president & arsehole as shown below :) ).

One of the days we went up to 3300m & skid down a glacier which was pretty awesome, other days the boys would practice there 'fully sick' jumps which would mostly put them out the next day.

Nevertheless we were blessed with lovely weather & a few big dumps of snow that made off trail skiing all the more fun, seeing as when you fell it didn't hurt :)

Night time was either spent in the house playing card games & cooking delicious budget dinners

OR when we had the energy we would go to Cantina Cactus bar a Mexican style place that attracted a big crowd! (funny since id just come from mexico) So Tequila shots & many other alcoholic beverages were in order for all the Aussies & cheap beer made it a popular choice for the guys.

(Yummy!!!)

Our biggest nights out included an ACDC concert at a Canadian bar (which was surprisingly really good) the band was french but they sounded exactly like the real deal...crazy! So after lots of head banging, drinking & dancing, it was no surprise people were slow to rise the following day.

This was followed by a mid week Aerobics themed party that ended up with lots of shots & pole dancing. Costumes looked great haha.

So that is Nendaz in a nutshell.  I would highly recommend to travelers who love skiing/boarding, that its a prime location with lots of awesome people who come every winter to share the love of carving up the snow!
